Vacant Assistant Director Post in Pulwama Causes Public Hardship
Pulwama, Feb 4, : The post of Assistant Director in the Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) has been lying vacant in Pulwama for several months, causing inconvenience to residents who have been urging authorities to fill the position at the earliest.
Due to the vacancy, the Assistant Director of Shopian has been assigned additional charge of Pulwama. However, sources indicate that the official is unable to visit the district office on a daily basis, further hampering the smooth functioning of essential public services.
Similarly, the Assistant Director of Kulgam has been given additional charge of Anantnag, raising concerns about administrative efficiency in both districts.
When contacted, the Director of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs assured that Assistant Directors would be posted on a permanent basis soon, addressing the long-standing issue.
Meanwhile, residents of Pulwama continue to appeal for swift action, emphasizing the urgent need for dedicated leadership in the department to ensure the seamless distribution of food supplies and consumer services.
