MLA ChrariSharif Advocates for Development of Yousmarg as best Tourist Destination during pre – budget discussion in a Meeting with Chief Minister
Srinagar, Feb 7: Advocate Abdul Raheem Rather, MLA ChrariSharif and Speaker of J&K Legislative Assembly in a pre- budget consultation meeting of Honb’le MLAs with the Chief Minister who holds the Finance portfolio as well advocated for development of Yousmarg as best Tourist Destination being the nearest tourist spot from capital Srinagar. The place has immense tourism potential a picturesque destination in the Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. The discussion focused on strategic initiatives to develop Yousmarg into a premier tourist hub that will boost economic growth and sustainable employment in the region.
During the meeting, MLA Rather highlighted Yousmarg’s breathtaking landscapes, lush meadows, and dense forests, emphasizing its appeal to nature lovers, adventure seekers, and those looking for peaceful retreats. He stressed the need to promote Yousmarg as a year-round tourism destination, catering to both summer and winter travelers
He drew the attention of chief Minister towards
.Infrastructure Development viz. Improving road connectivity, enhancing accommodation facilities, and improving essential amenities to accommodate an increasing number of visitors.
Promotion of Eco-Tourism: Implementing sustainable tourism practices to protect Yousmarg’s natural beauty and ecological balance.
Developing trekking routes, nature trails, and adventure sports infrastructure to attract adventure enthusiasts.
Encouraging local participation in tourism-related activities to ensure economic benefits for residents.
Integrating Kashmiri cultural festivals and traditional experiences into the tourism framework to provide visitors with an authentic taste of local heritage.
Besides creation of a tourist circuit linking it to pilgrimage tourism places like ChrariSharif and pakherpora. Connecting Yousmarg with Nilnag , doodpathri will be a boost the local trade and economy. Mr . Rather emphasized the need for construction of ropeway to connect most beautiful locations adjacent to Yousmarg namely Bargah and Haijan .
The Chief Minister acknowledged Yousmarg’s significance as a promising tourist destination and assured full support for its development. He directed the concerned authorities to expedite initiatives aimed at enhancing Yousmarg’s infrastructure and tourism appeal
