SSP Awantipora Chairs Crime Review Meeting to Enhance Security and Law Enforcement

Awantipora, March 10,:- Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Awantipora chaired a crucial crime review meeting at the District Police Office (DPO) Awantipora. The meeting was attended by the Senior Prosecuting Officer of PD Awantipora, Station House Officer (SHO) Tral, Incharge Crime Section of DPO Awantipora, and investigating officers from Sub Division Tral.
During the meeting, a comprehensive review of previous discussions was conducted, along with deliberations on various security measures aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the district. The officers analyzed key aspects of policing, including verifications, inquest proceedings, and the investigation of cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). Other issues related to effective and accountable policing were also brought under discussion.
SSP Awantipora emphasized the need for a qualitative and timely resolution of ongoing criminal investigations. He urged officers to intensify their efforts in combating the menace of drugs and work with dedication to curb social crimes and cybercrimes.
Furthermore, all officers were instructed to adopt a public-centric approach and ensure prompt redressal of grievances. The SSP reiterated the police department’s commitment to strengthening law enforcement and fostering a secure environment in Awantipora.
