Massive Al-Quds Day Rally in Magam as Kashmiris Show Solidarity with Palestine

Budgam, Mar 28, : Thousands of fasting Muslims thronged the streets of Magam in Central Kashmir’s Budgam on the last Friday of Ramazan, marking Al-Quds Day with a large-scale demonstration in support of Palestine.

The rally saw enthusiastic participation from women and the Shia community, echoing passionate calls for the liberation of Masjid-al-Aqsa and an end to Israeli control over Palestinian territories.

Chanting pro-Palestine slogans, demonstrators marched through the busy Magam bazar, denouncing what they termed as Zionist occupation. Public speakers addressing the gathering lashed out at the international community for what they described as its continued silence on the situation in Gaza, where, according to them, Palestinians continue to face grave atrocities.

Al-Quds Day, established to express unwavering support for Palestinian resistance, has grown in significance across the world, including in Kashmir.
