*Police conduct early morning raid in Bari Brahmana following attack on Cops*

Samba: Apr 16 : In a proactive move, the Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a raid early Wednesday morning in the Gujjar Basti area of Balole Khad, part of their ongoing efforts to crack down on those responsible for last week’s attack on a police team.

The operation as per news agency Kashmir Bulletin stated at around 7:00 am, spearheaded by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Bari Brahmana, along with the Station House Officer (SHO). Police teams meticulously searched several Gujjar Kullas (makeshift shelters) in the area, which has been under close watch since the incident on April 10.

Officials indicated that the raid was focused on locating the suspects involved in the attack on the police team during a routine operation last week, which resulted in injuries to several officers, including the SHO. The injured personnel were subsequently transported to a hospital in Amritsar for more advanced medical care.

While the police have yet to confirm any arrests or recoveries from Thursday’s operation, sources suggest that additional raids are expected in the coming days as the search for the attackers intensifies.

The Balole Khad region, characterized by its challenging terrain and dispersed settlements, has become a focal point in the ongoing investigation into drug-related and criminal activities.
