Scheduled power cuts announced in multiple districts for maintenance

Srinagar, Apr 17, : Several parts of Kashmir are set to face power outages as the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has issued a scheduled shutdown for maintenance and infrastructure upgradation across various districts.

In the Srinagar-Budgam sector, electricity supply will remain suspended on April 23 and April 26, from 10 am to 5 pm, affecting areas such as Peerbagh, Humhama, Airforce, Sheikhpora, STC BSF, Hyderpora, and adjoining localities.

In Budgam district, shutdown of the 33 KV Waterhail Tap line has been planned for April 17 and April 21, with power cuts expected during the 10 am to 5 pm window.

In Bandipora, the 33 KV Nehalpora (Markundal) line will undergo repairs on April 19 and April 22, leading to power disruptions between 10 am and 4 pm. The areas likely to be impacted include Naidkhai, Markundal, Sumbal, Chandergeer, Ankul, and Gund Boon.

On April 20, shutdowns have also been scheduled in the Pampore area, affecting two major lines. Power supply will be unavailable from 10 am to 5 pm in Pampore, Khadermoh, Zewan, Tengan, and surrounding areas.

KPDCL has urged residents to cooperate during the scheduled maintenance period and assured that the works are essential for strengthening the power infrastructure ahead of the summer season.
