*DISTRICT POLICE GANDERBAL ARRESTED A NOTORIOUS DRUG PEDDLER IN THE JURISDICTION OF PS GUND AND SEIZED CONTRABAND SUBSTANCE.*

In continuation of its relentless efforts to eradicate the drug menace from society, Ganderbal Police has arrested a notorious drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station Gund and seized a significant quantity of contraband substance.

Late last night, Police Station Gund received credible information from reliable sources that an individual, namely *Fayaz Ahmad Chichi S/O Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Chichi, R/O Chichipati Hariganiwan,* was in possession of contraband, which he had concealed in his *Cowshed.*

Acting swiftly on the information, a Case FIR No. *18/2025* under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act was registered at *PS Gund.*

Further, on the directions of SSP Ganderbal *Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS*, a special police team from PS Gund, in the presence of the Executive Magistrate 1st Class, conducted a raid at the location. During the search, the team recovered and seized one *Nylon bag* containing *Contraband Substance (Bhang Patri Powder) weighing 9.800 Kgs.* The accused was arrested on the spot. Further investigation is currently underway.
