Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, Baramulla Police have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
A police party from Police Station Kunzer headed by SHO PS Kunzer established a checkpoint at Chachloora. During checking, one person identified as Mohd Yousuf Ganie son of Ab Rahim Ganie resident of Sodipora Beerwah was intercepted. Upon search 131 grams of Charas-like contraband substance was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested.
Accordingly, a case FIR nr 61/2025 under sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kunzer and further investigation has been initiated.
