*UHM Amit Shah to Table Constitutional Amendment Bill on Union Territories in Parliament Tomorrow*

New Delhi, Aug 19 Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday informed the Lok Sabha Secretariat that he will move the Union Territory Administration (Amendment) Bill, 2025, along with the 130th Constitutional Amendment Bill, 2025, during the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament.
As per news agency K, Shah conveyed to Lok Sabha Secretary-General Utpal Kumar Singh his intention to place both bills in the House.
Copies of the intimation were also marked to Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, the Ministry of Law and Justice, and the legislative offices concerned.
In a separate letter, the Home Minister urged the Secretariat to relax certain procedural rules, citing paucity of time with the current session scheduled to conclude on August 21.
Shah sought leniency in the application of Rule 19(A) and 19(B) of the Lok Sabha procedures, which mandate advance notice and circulation of bills to members before introduction.
Officials said that if allowed, the proposed amendments will be taken up in the House on Wednesday.
