*Weather Advisory Issued for Anantnag: Heavy Rainfall Alert from August 23 to 25*
Anantnag, Aug 23: The Office of the Deputy Commissioner Anantnag has issued a weather advisory warning of moderate to heavy rainfall across the district from August 23 to 25, 2025.
The alert has been issued following the latest forecast from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Srinagar.
As per the latest forecast received from the Indian Metrological Department (IMD) Srinagar station, moderate to heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated to scattered location across district Anantnag during 23th to 25th August 2025. The anticipated weather conditions may trigger flash floods, landslides, mudslides, Waterlogging and disruption of transport and essential services in vulnerable areas especially in upper reaches of Pahalgam, Kokernag, Larnoo, Shahabad Bala.
In view of the above, the general public of District Anantnag is informed to remain vigilant and not to venture in and around the water bodies, rivers (Jhelum, Lidder).
