Srinagar, Sept 29 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir police have launched a probe after a six-month pregnant woman allegedly died under mysterious circumstances in Wahipora locality of Langate, officials said.
An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside her home on Sunday late evening.
The family members, who held a protest demonstration, alleged that she was murdered.
The protesting family demanded a thorough probe into the incident and action against the culprits.
The official said they have taken cognisance of the matter and a probe has been launched to ascertain the facts.
“The body of the woman was shifted to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities and later handed over to the family for last rites”, he said—(KNO)
