*Weather Update for the next 10 Days*

As a result of a weak Western Disturbance, there is a possibility of short showers at some places between 03 & 05 October. A few spots can receive a short heavy thundershower during this period accompanied by gusty winds.
A fresh moderate intensity Western Disturbance is expected to affect Jammu and Kashmir on 06 & 07 October.
Under its influence, widespread rain/snow is expected across J&K.
4 to 15 inches of snow is likely over Razdan Top, Zojila Pass, Sinthan Top, Peer ki Gali, and other higher passes. Generally, the intensity will be maximum over south Kashmir. Snowfall is also possible over Sonamarg & Gulmarg.
Snowfall can’t be ruled out over middle reaches of Shopian and Kulgam districts.
The plain areas of both Kashmir & Jammu regions are generally expected to witness moderate rainfall. A few places can also receive a heavy shower during this period.
Day temperatures in Kashmir plains are likely to stay in between 07 & 14 degrees Celsius. Persistence of heavy rainfall may send the temperatures below 7°C.
*08 October:* Showers possible at a few spots. Mostly dry otherwise.
*09 – 12 October:* Mostly dry weather is expected.
*Note:*
1. Thundershowers can be accompanied by gusty winds and hailstorm in a few spots.
2. Shooting stones/Landslides can’t be ruled out over Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
3. Owing to chances of snowfall over Razdan Top, Peer Ki Gali, Sinthan Top, Zojila Pass, and Margan Top, Travelers are suggested to plan their journey accordingly.
