As part of the observance of Police Commemoration Day, Police Flag Day, and Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, Kulgam Police on Friday organized a debate on the theme “Role of Police in Nation Building” at Government Degree College DH Pora and Government Higher Secondary School Ashmuji, Kulgam.
The event aimed to highlight the vital contribution of the police in maintaining law and order, safeguarding national integrity, and fostering peace, harmony, and public trust—essential pillars of nation-building. Students and faculty members participated enthusiastically, sharing their insightful views on the duties, challenges, and ethical responsibilities of the police in upholding justice and strengthening the democratic framework.
Senior police officers, including DySP DAR Kulgam Shri Mohd Ayub Rather, college faculty, and members of the civil society were present on the occasion.At the conclusion of the programme, participants were felicitated with certificates and mementoes for their commendable participation and thought-provoking ideas.Kulgam Police reaffirmed its commitment to engaging with the youth through such interactive initiatives to promote civic awareness, responsibility, and a deeper understanding of the role of law enforcement in building a peaceful and progressive nation.
