Kokernag, Nov 6 A teenager from Adhal area of Kokernag in Anantnag district has died in a tragic road accident in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh.
As per news agency The deceased has been identified as Zahoor Ahmad Malik, son of Mohammad Saleem of Adhal, Kokernag.
Family members said they received the shocking news on Tuesday night, leaving the entire locality in grief. They have appealed to the administration to facilitate the transportation of Zahoor’s mortal remains back to Kashmir at the earliest.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Students Association, in a statement issued to news agency JKNS, expressed deep sorrow over the incident and called for urgent government intervention.
“Heartbreaking news coming from Uttar Pradesh. Zahoor Ahmad Malik has died in a tragic road accident in Jaunpur. The family is devastated and requires immediate assistance in bringing the body back home so that the final rites can be performed with dignity,” the statement reads.
Association also appealed to Advisor to J&K Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, to take up the matter with the Uttar Pradesh administration and ensure all necessary support to the bereaved family during this difficult time. Further formalities are being processed.
