Two Terrorist Killed as Army Thwarts Infiltration Attempt in Kupwara’s Keran Sector

Kupwara, Nov 8, Indian Army on Friday night foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Keran sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, neutralizing two Terrorists during the exchange of fire.
Defence sources told news agency that suspicious movement was noticed by troops of 21 Grenadiers near the forward defended location (FDL) Pimple. The soldiers opened fire after detecting the movement close to the LoC, triggering a brief exchange of small arms fire.
During the encounter, security forces neutralized two TERRORISTS. However, their bodies have not been recovered yet, reportedly lying on the other side of the LoC.
A large-scale search and sanitization operation was subsequently launched in the area to ensure no remaining TERRORIST managed to cross over. The operation is still underway with additional reinforcement deployed to seal all possible escape routes.
Officials said the timely and alert action by the Army foiled the infiltration attempt from across the border, reaffirming the high level of vigilance maintained along the frontier in Kupwara.
