*J&K police arrests drug peddler in Baramulla; Contraband substance recovered*

*December 06:* “`In a sustained effort to curb the menace of drug trafficking, J&K Police in Baramulla arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.

A Police team of Baramulla Police during during patroling at Chichilora intercepted a suspicious person identified as Abdul Rashid Ganie, Son of Abdul Rahman Ganie, resident of Chichilora. During his personal search, Police party recovered around 105 grams of a heroin-like substance from his possession. He was arrested on the spot.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 134/2025 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kunzar and investigation is going on.
