Srinagar, Dec 7, : A residential house was gutted in a fire that broke out early Sunday morning in the Sikhbagh area of Lal Bazar in Srinagar, officials said.
Fire and Emergency Services, along with police and locals, rushed to the spot and managed to control the blaze, preventing it from spreading to nearby houses. No casualties were reported, while the property suffered extensive damage.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known. Police have initiated an inquiry to ascertain the circumstances leading to the incident.
