Jammu, December (GNS) A cop was killed in a gunfight with terrorists at Majalta area of Udhampur district on Monday.
Officials told GNS that during the initial exchange of fire, a cop received a critical bullet wound. He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The deceased cop has been identified as Amjad Pathan.
As per the sources one terrorist has been also killed, however official confirmation is awaited.Meanwhile, Operation in the area was still underway.
Earlier, a exchange of fire took place between terrorists and security forces in Majalta area after a specific input was recieved by the police about presence of terrorists in the area(GNS)
