DC Srinagar reviews developmental scenario of district; takes stock of District Capex & CDF Works
Calls for strict adherence to timelines & Quality Standards in execution of works

SRINAGAR DECEMBER 22:- Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo today chaired a comprehensive meeting with concerned departments at Meeting Hall of the DC Office to review the progress of ongoing development works being executed under the District Capex Budget 2025-26 and Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Besides, Additional District Development Commissioner, Rifat Aftab Qureshi; Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, the meeting was attended by District Statistics & Evaluation Officer, Executive Engineers of R&B, Jal Shakti, KPDCL, SMC, Assistant Commissioner Panchayats, Block Development Officers, all District/Sectoral Officers, Engineers and other concerned.
At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner took a sector wise review of ongoing works taken up as well as new works taken under District Capex Budget and CDF for the financial year 2025–26.
The DC emphasized the need for time-bound completion of all pending works and directed departments to accelerate the execution of works approved for the current financial year, ensuring corresponding financial progress alongside physical achievements.
The DC directed departments to accelerate execution of approved/allotted works and ensure that physical progress is matched with corresponding financial progress and instructed all departments to strictly adhere to the prescribed timelines for completion of sanctioned projects.
The DC underlined that timely completion is essential for the effective utilization of public funds and for ensuring that developmental benefits reach the people without delay.
The District Statistics and Evaluation Officer was directed to conduct time-bound physical verification of all ongoing and completed works to ensure quality, transparency, and accuracy in reporting.
The DC emphasized that coordinated efforts, strict monitoring and accountability at every level are crucial for the successful implementation of developmental projects across the district.
