Samba: December 26, 2025: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers/peddlers, Samba Police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba and recovered approximately 9.86 grams of heroin (chitta) like substance from his possession.
Acting on information received from reliable sources, a team of Police Station Samba established a special vehicle checking naka near Bhargav Degree College Samba and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration No. JK02CW-3550 for its checking which was coming from Vijaypur side. During frisking, approximately 9.86 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from the possession of the motorcyclist.
The drug peddler identified as Mohd Sharif S/o Mohd Yousaf R/o Narsoo Samroli district Udhampur A/P Miran Sahib district Jammu has been arrested and contraband item has been seized. The motorcycle has also been seized in the instant case.
A case FIR No. 311/2025 u/s 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Samba and investigation started.
