Severe cold grips J&K | Gulmarg, Pahalgam among coldest.
Minimum temperatures plunged across Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh today, with several places in the Valley recording deep sub-zero temperatures amid intense winter conditions.
Kashmir Region:
Srinagar recorded –4.0°C, while Gulmarg shivered at –8.6°C and Pahalgam at –6.8°C. Other areas including Kupwara, Baramulla, Pulwama, Shopian and Anantnag also remained well below freezing.
Jammu Region:
Most areas in Jammu witnessed chilly but comparatively milder conditions. Bhaderwah recorded –2.2°C, while temperatures hovered between 0°C and 8°C across the region.
Ladakh:
Leh continued to reel under extreme cold, recording a minimum temperature of –11.2°C.
