Kulgam Police Extend Helping Hand Amid Incessant Snowfall, Evacuate Pregnant Woman to Hospital

Amid ongoing heavy snowfall across the district, Kulgam Police once again demonstrated their commitment to public service by promptly responding to a medical emergency in a remote area of Devsar.According to officials, Kulgam Police today received a distress call informing that a pregnant woman residing in Rangtraji (Widkhud), Devsar, had developed severe labour pain and required immediate medical attention. Continuous snowfall and difficult terrain had made vehicular movement impossible in the area.Acting swiftly, a police team led by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Devsar Masood ul Hassan rushed to the spot. Showing exceptional dedication, the police personnel evacuated the pregnant woman on foot through snow-covered paths and safely shifted her to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Devsar for urgent medical treatment.The timely intervention of the police ensured that the patient received necessary care without delay. Family members of the woman and local residents have highly appreciated the prompt response, humanitarian approach, and selfless efforts of Kulgam Police, especially at a time when adverse weather conditions have disrupted normal life in the district.Kulgam Police have reiterated their resolve to remain available for public assistance round the clock and urged citizens to make use of police helpline services during emergencies, particularly in view of the prevailing harsh winter conditions.
