Govt Employee Arrested by ACB in ₹8,000 Bribery Case

Srinagar, Feb 13 : The Anti-Corruption Bureau on Friday reportedly apprehended an officer in Bemina Srinagar in connection with an alleged bribery case.

Sources said the accused was caught by ACB Srinagar at Bemina Chowk and later taken to the Police Station for further legal formalities.

A case has been registered at Police Station ACB under FIR No. 04/2026 under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

According to reports, the accused allegedly accepted a bribe of ₹8,000 from a woman of Sabdan, Dooru area of South Kashmir.
  
The identity of the accused could not be ascertained till the filing of the report.

Sources said further investigation has been initiated to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the alleged demand and acceptance of the bribe.
