Samba, February 22, 2026: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers & peddlers, Samba Police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana and recovered approximately 107 grams Ganja like substance from his possession.
A Police party of Police Station Bari Brahmana while performing patrolling duty near Pillar No.82 NHW Bari Brahmana, intercepted a person who was moving under suspicious circumstances. During frisking, approximately 107 grams of Ganja like substance was recovered from the possession of said person.
The drug peddler identified as Habib Bhat S/o Abdul Aziz R/o Kothi, Chandyal, Bani district Kathua A/P Telli Basti Bari Brahmana has been arrested and the contraband item has also been seized.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 70/2026 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
