DC Srinagar, Principal GMC inspect commissioning of 10 MVA Receiving Station for GMC & Associated Hospitals to further augment uninterrupted seamless power supply

SRINAGAR FEBRUARY 23:- Deputy Commissioner(DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo along with the Principal, Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar, Prof. Iffat Hassan Shah today inspected commissioning of 10 MVA Receiving Station for Associated Hospitals under GMC.
Administrator GMC Srinagar, Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Chief Engineer SSCL, Ab Qayoom Kirmani, Executive Engineers from KPDCL, R&B,and other senior officers of the District Administration and GMC Srinagar were present in the spot review.
During the visit, the DC and the Principal GMC lauded the concerned Officers and Engineers for timely commissioning of the recieving station which will augment the uninterrupted & seamless power supply of SMHS hospital, Super Speciality hospital, Dental College and Nursing College under the GMC Srinagar, ensuring improved healthcare services and operational efficiency.
During the visit, the DC and the Principal lauded the officers and engineers for the timely commissioning of the receiving station. The new 10 MVA facility is expected to significantly augment uninterrupted power supply to SMHS Hospital, Super Speciality Hospital Shireen Bagh, as well as the Dental College and Nursing College under GMC Srinagar.
On the occasion, the DC was apprised that three 11kv outgoing feeders are emanating from newly commissioned receiving station to ensure reliable, smooth and uninterrupted power supply to these dedicated major Health facilities in Srinagar.
The DC & the Principal, GMC also inspected the Hostel block of GMC for its development, landscaping and improved lighting.
The DC assured the GMC administration of all possible support from the District Administration to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and improve patient care and service delivery, especially of issues, that require inter-departmental coordination at district level with the objective of enhancing the functionality of all associated hospitals.
