Police team of Police Station Majalta during naka checking in the Majalta area intercepted one motorcycle bearing Registration No. JK02DT-2552 coming from Mansar towards Battal for checking.
Upon stopping the vehicle, two persons were found riding the motorcycle. On questioning, they disclosed their identities as *Chanchal Kumar S/O Sudesh Kumar R/O Khoon, Tehsil Majalta, District Udhampur and Rahul Mehra @ Rottu S/O Balbir Singh R/O Ramkot, Tehsil Ramkot, District Kathua.*
During their personal search, 4.8 grams of heroin was recovered from their possession.
Accordingly, both accused were arrested on the spot and FIR No. 23/2026 U/S 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Majalta.
