RDD Vendors’ Association calls on Javid Ahmad Dar, raises pending payment issue

JAMMU, MARCH10: A delegation of the Kashmir RDD Vendors’ Association on Tuesday called on Minister for Rural Development Department, Javid Ahmed Dar and raised issues related to pending payments for works executed by vendors between 2017 and 2020.
During the meeting, the delegation apprised the Minister of the difficulties being faced by vendors due to delay in release of payments for works carried out under various Rural Development Department projects during the period.
The members requested the Minister to intervene and ensure early clearance of the pending dues, stating that many vendors have been facing financial stress due to prolonged delays.
The Minister gave a patient hearing to the concerns raised by the delegation and assured them that the matter would be examined and taken up with the concerned authorities for appropriate action.
