The body of a Women drowned in Shutkadi Sonamarg Yesterday has been recovered this morning near Gagangeer area of Gund In central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Officials sources said the body of a 38-year-old identified as Masarat Bano a resident of Bonibagh Kangan was drowned in Sindh Nallah under mysterious circumstances, a policeman said.
He said that the rescue operation was started till late night but the body could not be traced.
He said SDPO Kangan Syed Yasir Qadri, SHO Sonamarg Younis Bashir, SDRF and local volunteer teams resumed rescue operations Tuesday morning, and fished out the body near Gagangeer after hectic efforts, official said.
Sho P/S Sonamarg Younis Bashir said that the investigation has been started by filing a case under the relevant provisions of the law.
He said the body will be handed over to his relatives after legal formalities.
