Advisor to CM calls on Javed Rana; discusses J&K’s development priorities

SRINAGAR, MAY 13: Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, today called on Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, at the Civil Secretariat, Srinagar and held discussions on a range of development issues concerning the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.
The two exchanged views on accelerating development across various sectors and deliberated upon measures to further strengthen public service delivery and administrative responsiveness in the UT. They reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people and stressed that developmental initiatives must reach every section of society, particularly those in remote and underserved areas.
Both emphasized that the administration remains firmly focused on translating policy intent into ground-level outcomes. They said that sustained coordination among the departments and leadership would be key to achieve the development aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Similarly, several delegations also called on the Minister at his office chamber and apprised him of various issues and demands pertaining to their respective departments and communities.
Among them, the DFO Forest Association projected matters relating to the grant of non-functional promotions and other service-related issues concerning the departmental employees, seeking the Minister’s intervention for their early resolution.
The Minister gave a patient hearing to all the delegations and assured them that their genuine concerns would be examined sympathetically and pursued for appropriate consideration at the relevant forums.
