*School Bus Plunges Into Gorge in Khansahib, Driver Killed; Two Students Injured*
Srinagar, June 12: A school bus belonging to IPTS School Khansahib met with an accident in Neego Brenwar village of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday afternoon, resulting in the death of the driver and injuries to two students.
Officials said that the bus skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge at Neego Brenwar. The driver, identified as Shahid Ahmad Lone, son of Zahoor Ahmad Lone of Kechwari Khansahib, died on the spot.
Two students who were onboard the vehicle sustained injuries in the incident and were immediately shifted to Community Health Centre (CHC) Surasyar.
The injured students were later referred to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Chadoora for specialized treatment.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation. The identities of the injured students were not immediately available.
