GANDERBAL, JUNE 20: In a remarkable achievement for Jammu and Kashmir, a young student from central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district has secured undergraduate admission to the world-renowned Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), United States, marking a significant milestone in the region’s academic and technological landscape.
Muhammad Abdul Raheem, a Class 11 student from Nunner village in Ganderbal, has earned an admission offer from MIT, widely regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious institutions for science, engineering, artificial intelligence, and cutting-edge technological research.
Abdul Raheem completed his education up to Class 10 at Hilltop Educational Institute, Darend, Ganderbal, and is currently pursuing his higher secondary studies at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Ganderbal. Through dedication, self-learning, and a passion for innovation, he has emerged as one of Kashmir’s most promising young technology enthusiasts.
Hailing from a modest family of five, Abdul Raheem has already established a strong reputation in fields such as programming, software development, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and robotics. His admission to MIT is being viewed as an extraordinary accomplishment, given the institution’s highly competitive global selection process.
One of his most notable innovations is “KrishiBot,” an intelligent farming robot developed to integrate artificial intelligence, robotics, and automation into modern agricultural practices. The project aims to assist farmers in crop monitoring, resource management, and improving agricultural productivity through advanced technology.
