A fresh spell of rain has developed over parts of the Jammu region. Moving in a northeastward direction, it is expected to primarily affect Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, and the Chenab Valley districts over the next few hours.
As the system progresses, it may also spread into parts of south Kashmir, where rainfall could intensify further due to favourable weather conditions.
After this spell moves away, another spell of rain is expected to affect Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow.
It is worth noting that the ongoing Western Disturbance continues to play a key role in this weather pattern. It has been instrumental in promoting deeper cloud development and enhanced moisture incursion over the Kashmir region, sustaining the current wet conditions.
