Srinagar, July 27,: Schools across Jammu and Kashmir reopened on Monday after remaining closed for the summer vacation and an extended closure caused by persistent heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions.
Students returned to classrooms in large numbers as educational institutions resumed normal academic activities across the Union Territory. School campuses witnessed enthusiastic scenes, with teachers welcoming students back after the prolonged break.
The reopening follows an extension of the summer vacation announced by the authorities in view of the prevailing weather conditions and to ensure the safety of students.
Officials said educational institutions have resumed functioning as scheduled, while advising school administrations to remain vigilant and adhere to any weather-related advisories issued by the authorities.
