Rajouri, Aug 16 Two persons were killed and four others injured after a vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a ditch in the Kandi Mohra area of Rajouri district on Sunday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that six people were travelling in the vehicle when it skidded off the road and fell into a ditch in the area.
He said the injured were initially provided first aid at CHC Kandi, following which two of them were shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for further treatment.
The deceased were identified as Khadam Hussain and Shamim Akhter.
The injured were identified as Mohd Azam (60), son of Mir Baz; Ibrar Ahmed (35), son of Mohd Azam; Imtiaz Ahmed (18), son of Mohd Azam; and Mohd Shakeel (22), son of Munshi Khan, all residents of Rehan, Kotranka tehsil of Rajouri district.
Police have taken up an investigation into the incident.—(KNO)
