A security review meeting was convened at District Police Office Kulgam by Deputy Inspector General of Police, South Kashmir Range *Shri Javed Iqbal Mattoo-IPS* which was attended by senior officers of Army/ CAPF including Commanders 1 & 2 Sector RR, DIG Ops CRPF range Anantnag, SSP Kulgam Shri Anayat Ali Chowdhary-IPS, CO 1, 9 & 34 RR, CO 18, 46 BN CRPF, DySP CI Kulgam, all GOs of district police Kulgam and other officers.
The agenda of the meeting was to assess the current security scenario in the district and chalk out strategies to meet out any potential security challenges. During the meeting, participants provided detailed inputs on the prevailing terrorist threats and discussed counter measures to address them. Representatives from intelligence agencies shared intelligence regarding potential security challenges, while senior, ARMY, CAPF officers outlined their strategies to counter the emerging threats for ensuring security and peaceful atmosphere in the district.
The DIG SKR and other senior ARMY/CAPF officers emphasized the importance of maintaining operational synergy and close coordination between all security forces and agencies to ensure a peaceful and secure environment in district. The need for proactive measures, enhanced vigilance, and swift response mechanisms was highlighted to counter any potential threats. Some Key directives were also issued to ensure the implementation of robust security measures at ground level.
The meeting concluded with a strong resolve among all participating agencies to work in unison to ensure the safety and security for all.
