Anantnag, September 13, 2026:
In a continued drive against illegal transportation and extraction of minor minerals, Anantnag Police seized 12 tractors and 2 tippers during checking conducted in the intervening night.
The vehicles were found involved in the illegal transportation of minor minerals and were seized as per law. FIRs have been registered at different Police Stations of the district, and necessary legal action has been initiated. Further investigation and proceedings are underway.
Anantnag Police reiterates its commitment to curb illegal mining and transportation of minor minerals and warns violators of strict action under law.
