*Anantnag Police Conducts Raids at Courier & Logistics Establishments to Curb Drug Trafficking*
Anantnag, 22 September 2026:
As part of its continued efforts to curb drug trafficking and substance abuse, Anantnag Police, in coordination with officials of the Drug Control Department and the Crime Dog Squad, conducted raids at various courier, postal and logistics establishments across the district.
Police teams from Police Station Bijbehara conducted raids at Bismillah Courier Office, Delivery Courier and Post Office, Bijbehara, while a team from Police Post Sangam carried out raids at VRL Logistics, Halmulla and SafeExpress, Halmulla, Sangam.
The raids were conducted as a preventive measure to detect and prevent the transportation of narcotic substances through courier and logistics channels. The coordinated exercise also aimed at strengthening surveillance and ensuring that such establishments are not misused for illicit drug trafficking.
Anantnag Police remains committed to sustained and coordinated action against the drug menace and urges all stakeholders to remain vigilant and cooperate with law-enforcement agencies in keeping the district drug-free.
