Srinagar, Oct 04 Jammu and Kashmir need 190 more runs to pull off a historic chase after Rest of India set them a target of 279 on the fourth day of the Irani Cup at the Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium here on Sunday.

As per the details collected by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), J&K reached 89 for three at lunch, with Shubham Khajuria unbeaten on 36 and Abdul Samad on six.

Rest of India, who resumed at 306 for eight, were bowled out for 319 in the morning, leaving J&K with a 279-run target.

J&K started positively but lost three wickets after an opening stand between Khajuria and Qamran Iqbal. Qamran made 32, while Paras Dogra was dismissed for a duck.

Khajuria, per KNO, remained composed and carried the chase, with J&K reaching 89 for three from 19 overs at the interval. J&K require another 190 runs with seven wickets in hand, setting up a crucial final phase of the five-day contest, with the match entering its last two days.
