A man lost his life after falling through a gap in the Gangroo-Ramsoo flyover in Ramban late Saturday night while attempting to cross to the other side amid a massive traffic congestion.
Officials said the incident occurred after a truck breakdown triggered a long traffic jam in the Gangroo and Hingni areas. The deceased, identified as Hatish Sharma of Udhampur, reportedly got out of his vehicle and tried to cross the flyover when he fell through a gap in the structure.
Police have initiated an investigation to determine the exact circumstances that led to the incident.
