Police Organizes Awareness Programme on New Criminal Laws In Handwara

October 07: Police in Handwara organized an awareness programme on new criminal laws at Govt Secondary School Supernaghama falling under the jurisdiction of PS Kralgund. This program aimed to enlighten the faculty, staff and students about the latest developments in the Indian legal framework. The laws discussed included Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam.
The programme was chaired by respective jurisdictional police officer and attended by staff members, students etc. The initiative aimed to educate the general public, staff and traders etc about the enactment of new criminal laws, ensuring awareness and compliance with the updated legal framework. The chairing officers explained the nuances of the new laws, clarifying their implications and stressing the importance of adherence to legal statutes for maintaining societal order.
The programme witnesses active participation from participants who engaged in interactive discussions, questions and sought clarifications on the legal provisions presented. The new laws include provisions that ensure justice for the victims of crime and the society at large. Modernization of the investigation process through the use of technology has been included.
