*Anantnag Police Intensifies Night-Time Crackdown on Illegal Mining and Traffic Violations; 14 Mining Vehicles and 22 Other Vehicles Seized or Challaned*

In a major night-time enforcement drive, Anantnag Police intensified checking and patrolling at multiple locations across the district to curb illegal mining, check traffic violations and strengthen security.

During the drive, Police seized 07 tractors, 02 tippers and 05 dumpers allegedly involved in illegal mining. As part of security checks, 87 suspicious persons were detained for verification. Police also took action against traffic violators, with 20 motorcycles found operating without valid documents seized or challaned, while 34 persons were proceeded against for violations under the Motor Vehicles Act.

Furthermore, 02 vehicles with adverse antecedents were seized for detailed verification and further necessary legal action.
