Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has expressed gratitude to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu for acceding to the request to suspend the proposed airport closure order.
Omar Abdullah said the proposed closure would have caused major inconvenience to regular travellers and adversely impacted tourism, forcing several tour groups and tourists to cancel their planned visits. He said the decision to withdraw the closure order will provide significant relief to passengers and the tourism sector.
