Irani Trophy final ends in disappointment to Host J&K J&K batting collape on 111, giving ROI a 167 run win on Day 4.

Srinagar, Oct 04: Jammu and Kashmir team have faced a 167 run defeat in the Irani Trophy 2026 final against Rest of India, on the 4th day of the play at the historic Sher i Kashmir Cricket Stadium, Srinagar.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday also visited the Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium in Srinagar and witnessed the fourth day’s play of the Irani Cup between Jammu and Kashmir and Rest of India.
Sinha, watched the contest as J&K pursued a target of 279 runs in their second innings in the five-day encounter, being hosted in Srinagar for the first time.
However, J&K’s chase ended in disappointment as the hosts were bowled out for 111 in 28.4 overs in the second session, handing Rest of India a 167-run victory on Day 4.
The match marks the first time that the prestigious Irani Cup is being played in Srinagar.
