Srinagar, February 05, 2024: The Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) expresses its deepest condolences on the passing away of Mr. Jagdish Gandhi, the revered founder and manager of City Montessori School, Lucknow, at the age of 88.

Mr. Gandhi was a visionary leader and a true pillar of the Indian education system. His dedication to providing quality education and shaping young minds has left an indelible mark on countless individuals and the education landscape as a whole. His pioneering efforts at City Montessori School, recognized as the world’s largest school by the Guinness Book of World Records, stand as a testament to his unwavering commitment to education.

“We are deeply saddened by the passing away of Mr. Jagdish Gandhi,” said Mr. G.N. Var, President of PSAJK. “His contributions to education have been immense, and his legacy will continue to inspire generations of educators and students alike. His passion for excellence and his focus on holistic development have served as a guiding light for many educational institutions across the country.”

Unfortunately, due to the cancellation of flights on Sunday, a PSAJK delegation led by Mr. Var was unable to travel to Lucknow to personally offer condolences to the bereaved family. However, a condolence meeting was held at the PSAJK office in Srinagar, where members remembered Mr. Gandhi’s remarkable life and service.

“Mr. Gandhi’s passing is a great loss to the education community,” stated Mr. Var. “He was a true visionary who understood the power of education to transform lives. He believed in providing every child with an opportunity to reach their full potential, and his work has touched the lives of millions.”

The PSAJK extends its heartfelt condolences to Mr. Gandhi’s family, especially his daughter Dr Geeta Gandhi Kingdom. We share their grief and stand with them in this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace.
