Make provisions for nomination of 2 members from Kashmiri migrants: Delimitation panel tells Centre

Grant them powers at par with nominated members of Puducherry

Srinagar, May 05 : The delimitation commission has recommended to the Government of India to reserve two seats for Kashmiri migrants in the Legislative Assembly of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.

The commission, according to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), has recommended to the Government of India to make provisions of at least two members (one of them must be female) from the community of Kashmiri migrants in the Legislative Assembly and such members may be given power at par with the power of the nominated members of the Legislative Assembly of Union Territory of Puducherry—(KNO)
