Anantnag Police Attached Property Worth ₹70 Lakh Under NDPS Act*

Continuing its sustained crackdown against drug trafficking and the illegal assets generated through the narcotics trade, Anantnag Police has attached a double-storied residential house along with a high-density apple orchard belonging to Mohammad Ashraf Dar S/o Abdul Rehman Dar R/o Tulkhan under the provisions of Section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.

The attached property, with an estimated market value of approximately ₹70 lakh, is suspected to have been acquired from proceeds of illicit drug trafficking. The action has been taken in accordance with the provisions of the NDPS Act to prevent the transfer, sale, disposal, or any other form of alienation of the property pending further legal proceedings.

This action underscores the firm commitment of Anantnag Police to combat the menace of drug trafficking by targeting not only the offenders but also the assets generated through illegal activities. By disrupting the financial foundations of the narcotics trade, the police seek to deter criminal involvement and strengthen efforts toward a drug-free society.
