In a continued push under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, Kulgam Police on Tuesday conducted extensive narco raids across the district to curb drug trafficking and dismantle the narcotics network.
The operations were carried out in a planned and systematic manner, targeting multiple suspected locations. To enhance the effectiveness of the raids, the services of a specially trained K9 squad were deployed for thorough search and detection.
Officials said the initiative forms part of an intensified campaign aimed at eliminating the drug menace and ensuring a safer environment for the community, particularly the youth.
Kulgam Police reiterated its firm commitment to eradicating drug abuse and related illegal activities from society. The general public has been urged to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and share any information regarding drug trafficking or substance abuse with the nearest police establishment or by dialing 112.
The drive underscores the district police’s sustained efforts to break the supply chain of narcotics and promote a drug-free society.
