CEO Srinagar Holds One-Day Workshop on Post PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan (NAS) 2024

SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 06: The Office of the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Srinagar today organized a comprehensive one-day workshop on the effective utilization of PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan (NAS) 2024 data, focusing on dashboard interpretation, intervention planning, and remedial academic strategies.
The workshop, held at the auditorium of GGHSS Kothibagh, witnessed participation from the District Education Planning Officer (District Nodal Officer PARAKH), District Resource Team members, Zonal Education Officers, Cluster-Level Academic Monitoring Committees, Zonal Nodal Officers, and representatives from DIET Srinagar.
Joining the event virtually, CEO Srinagar, Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Bhat, extended a warm welcome to all participants and underscored the importance of leveraging NAS findings to drive academic improvement at all instructional levels. He urged teachers to make productive use of the upcoming winter vacation for strengthening pedagogical practices and aligning lesson planning strictly with the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023, remarking that such academic reforms would pave the way for a notable rise in student learning outcomes.
During the technical sessions, an in-depth analysis of Srinagar district’s performance across the Foundation, Preparatory, and Middle stages of the survey was shared.
DEPO Srinagar elaborated on the short-term, mid-term, and long-term strategies required for measurable academic growth, alongside the process-action matrix at district, zonal, cluster, and school levels. She informed that similar training workshops will be conducted across zonal and cluster levels, with today’s trainees serving as nodal resource persons for implementation and follow-up monitoring.
The workshop also deliberated on diagnosing learning gaps in English, Mathematics, and EVS, identifying strengths and focus competencies, along with remedial interventions to boost literacy, numeracy, and scientific curiosity among learners.
An interactive question-answer session concluded the programme, addressing field-level queries from the participants.
The initiative is expected to play a pivotal role in strengthening academic planning, monitoring, and remedial teaching practices across Srinagar district, ensuring improved competency levels among students.
