In response to the ongoing “prevailing situation,” authorities in Srinagar have established a round-the-clock Joint Control Room at the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC), located at the DC Office. The initiative, supervised by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), aims to streamline interdepartmental coordination and provide immediate public assistance.
While officials highlight the control room’s role in monitoring developments and addressing grievances in real time, the lack of clarity around the nature of the situation has led to growing speculation among residents.
