Kulgam, Jul 07 (KNO): A 12-year old girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in Yaripora area of south Kashmirโs Kulgam district on Thursday, officials said here.
An official told the news agencyโKashmir News Observer (KNO) that the girl (name withheld) from Yaripora hanged herself at her home today and she died on the spot.
The official said that it was not immediately known as to why the girl took this extreme step. โPolice have registered a case and initiated proceedings in this regard,โ he saidโ(KNO)
